Skymarker Labs

We are a seed funded mobile software startup, founded by well known technology entrepreneurs, focused on catalyzing and curating location-based, consumer generated media. The venture is currently in stealth mode — we have not yet released the real name of our product — while we build out software for release on the iPhone, iPad and Android platforms. In addition, the product will have a significant presence as a web destination and across various social networks. Between them, our senior management has founded and run a half dozen different successful Internet ventures, and have had several hundred million dollar plus exits — including an IPO — among companies they have helmed. Our investors are themselves prominent web 2.0 angel investors, digital and corporate executives.

Wanted: Scala and Python/Django Gurus

We are looking to add one or two developers to our founding team. Experience in a startup companay would be great but is not required. What is required is that you are astoundingly smart, creative, prolific, and ambitious. We are biased towards candidates who are deeply familiar with, and participants in, emerging social media products, and the technology platforms and ventures that drive them. We are located in the NYC area, but we are hiring both full- and part-time developers who work remotely.

Preferred

• Experience in Scala and/or Python/Django
• Experience in MongoDB
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Mathematics or related field
• 4+ years experience building web or mobile products
• Comfortable with algorithms and data structures
• Comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
• Able to write clean, correct, scalable code quickly
